The 10th edition of the Euratom research and training conferences on fission safety of reactor systems (FISA 2022) and radioactive waste management (EURADWASTE ’22), organised by the French Presidency of the Council of the EU and the European Commission, will be held on Monday 30 May – Friday 3 June 2022 in Lyon, France.
The main objective of these high-level policy conferences is to present progress and key achievements of the Euratom research and training projects carried out since 2019 and to stimulate discussions on the state of play of Research and Innovations, key national, European and international challenges and opportunities, as well as exploring future perspectives.
FISA 2022 – EURADWASTE ’22 conferences will be hybrid and engage all relevant stakeholders: research and training organisations, academia, industry, small and medium enterprises, spin-offs and start-ups,national and European policy makers, national government officials, European technology platforms, technical support organisations, European fora, European civil society and International Organisations e.g. IAEA and OECD/NEA. In addition to joint opening and closing plenary sessions, there will be many networking opportunities within dedicated parallel and poster sessions, thematic workshops, PhD/MSc and R&D awards, Nuclear Innovation prizes and Young Generation matchmaking opportunities. Parallel SNETP 2022 Forum and ENEN PhD event & Prize will also take place during that week. Technical visits of emblematic nuclear sites will close the event.
