FISA 2022 – EURADWASTE’22

The CEA and the European Commission invite all relevant stakeholders to participate to the 10th Edition of Euratom research and training conferences on fission safety of reactor systems (FISA 2022) and radioactive waste management (EURADWASTE ’22).  These events are organised under the scope of the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union.  Nuclear Valley, the Sfen and the SNETP are also strongly involved.  Région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes is kindly hosting and supporting all events taking place during that week.  Access to this event is entirely free of charge but requires pre-registration.

This will be the 10th edition of the Euratom research and training conferences on fission safety of reactor systems (FISA 2022) and radioactive waste management (EURADWASTE ’22) supported by the European Commission together with the Commissariat à l’Energie Atomique et aux Energies Alternatives (CEA), under the auspices of the French Presidency of the Council of the EU.

The main objective of these high-level policy conferences is to present progress and key achievements of the Euratom research and training projects carried out since 2019 and to stimulate discussions on the state of play of Research and Innovations, key national, European and international challenges and opportunities, as well as exploring future perspectives.

FISA 2022 – EURADWASTE ’22 conferences will be hybrid and engage all relevant stakeholders: research and training organisations, academia, industry, small and medium enterprises, spin-offs and start-ups,national and European policy makers, national government officials, European technology platforms, technical support organisations, European fora, European civil society and International Organisations e.g. IAEA and OECD/NEA. In addition to joint opening and closing plenary sessions, there will be many networking opportunities within dedicated parallel and poster sessions, thematic workshops, PhD/MSc and R&D awards, Nuclear Innovation prizes and Young Generation matchmaking opportunities. Parallel SNETP 2022 Forum and ENEN PhD event & Prize will also take place during that week. Technical visits of emblematic nuclear sites will close the event.
