Successful week with EURAD joint programme

Third EURAD annual week together with EURAD General Assembly and Focus Funnel event to prepare EURAD-2  collected almost 200 waste management experts, specialists, scientists and students to Larnaca together to share the experiences and to network and present the highlights of European co-operation in the field of radioactive waste management.

IGD-TP was present actively by Chair Tiina Jalonen and Secretary General Johanna Hansen both from Posiva, WMO College representatives in EURAD Bureau and Core Group Astrid Göbel, BGE Anne Kontula Teollisuuden Voima Oy and Ingo Blechschmidt Nagra.

Waste management organisations are in important role to define the needs for safe implementation of radioactive waste repositories and optimisation of waste chain from cradle to grave including the tailored solution.

The EURAD week with different side events gave a perfect opportunity to discuss and jointly plan the future co-operation in different levels.
