————— Postponement Announcement —————

Due to Corona virus situation the organising committee of the Safe and Sustainable Fuel Cycle Back-End (SSFC) has decided to make few changes to this year’s conference.  The first change is a new date (September 29-30) and the second change is about the conference subject and programme (in order to avoid troubles with travel constraints and limitations).

This year the conference will be focused on research and development in the fuel cycle back-end in the Czech Republic.  The aim is to present the results of the development of the deep geological repository gained in the years 2014-2020 and to present and discuss SÚRAO’s plans in this field to 2030, as well as experience and possibilities of international cooperation in these projects.

The main topics of the conference will be:

  • DGR siting
  • Repository design and environmental impact
  • Engineered barriers
  • Safety evaluation
  • New SÚRAO Research & Development Plan till 2025

More detailed information can be found at www.ssfc.cz.  Due to the substantial changes in the conference direction and content the organisers ask that you make a new registrations (all registrations done before 3rd July have been cancelled).

In case of any questions please contact the conference organisers at info@ssfc.cz.
