View on Google MapsThe EGU General Assembly 2026 brings together geoscientists from all over the world to one meeting covering all disciplines of the Earth, planetary, and space sciences. The EGU aims to provide a forum where scientists, especially early career researchers, can present their work and discuss their ideas with experts in all fields of geoscience.
There are three sessions related to radioactive waste management:
- ERE3.2 Radioactive waste repositories – Geosciences for long-term safety and disposal design
- ERE3.3 Nuclear waste management: interdisciplinary approaches for safety and societal acceptability.
- ERE3.4 Deep Geological Repositories: Characterization of Barrier Materials, Integrity Assessment, and Regulatory Insights
The abstract submission deadline is Thursday, 15 January 2026, 13:00 CET. Please follow the instructions for how to submit your abstract.
