Applications are invited for the Grimsel Training Centre theory and hands-on workshop on “From geophysical field data to geological models”, which is being held over 3 days in June 2019.

The registration deadline is 15 May 2019.

Nagra is offering a 3-day workshop on the development of geological models from geophysical field data.  Participants will learn about seismic interpretation, processing, 3-D exploration and acquisition, uncertainty analysis and tomography.

The course aims to provide both theoretical training and practical exercises.  Acquired skills will help participants to plan and carry out seismic measurement campaigns as well as
illustrate the expectations and actual challenges from such campaigns.

Theoretical blocks and related practical exercises will alternate in short intervals.  The activities will include lectures about background information, 2D and 3D seismic data acquisition and processing, seismic tomography, practical exercises and discussion.

Further details are available in the workshop announcement and on the Grimsel website.
