SaltMech IX

The 9th Conference on the Mechanical Behavior of Salt (SaltMech IX) will take place from September 12 – 14, 2018 at the BGR in Hannover, Germany.
The conference will be organised jointly by the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR) Hannover, the Institute of Geomechanics (IfG) Leipzig and the Technical University of Clausthal (TUC).
Launched in 1981, the series of SaltMech Conferences serves to exchange research findings and practical experiences regarding the mechanical behavior of rock salt for the safe use in mining, storage and waste disposal.
